Jen and andy

About

We met through mutual friends back in June of 2007. I got convinced to go out and meet up with my friend's co-worker and his friends. That night I didn't really want to, but decided to go anyways. Andy started striking up conversations with me the entire night. We really hit it off and I think we talked more to each other than to our friends. As the night came to an end, I was somewhat disappointed when Andy didn't ask for my number. Apparently, he was too nervous to ask me, so he asked his friend who asked my friend, and eventually my number got back to him. The 'typical' 3 days passed before Andy called me and later on that week we had our first date. It was that evening I knew it was the start of something great.

ENGAGEMENT!!

Jen's side of the story:
On December 18th, 2010, Andy proposed after a nice night out in downtown Omaha. We had a beautiful romantic dinner at a favorite Italian restaurant and began walking back to the car. It was absolutely freezing out and all I wanted to do was get inside the warm car. However, Andy had other ideas when he asked me to take a walk with him to look at Christmas lights around the Gene Leahy Mall. I completely foiled his plan when I told him I didn't want to since it was so cold! I do remember Andy saying, "Are you sure you don't want to take a quick walk?" I should have caught on at that point what he was up to. The proposal would have been lovely downtown but it was equally romantic in the middle of his living room with the Christmas tree lit up in the background! Needless to say I was completely shocked and taken by surprise, even though I had a sneaking suspicion. According to Andy, "I pretty much tackled him" after he put the ring on my finger.
