Our Story: We first met in 2007 while attending graduate school at UNO. During our time as Graduate Teaching Assistants we became quick friends, but eventually lost touch. It was clear that we were meant to be together because in October 2009 we ran into each other on campus; we hadn't seen each other in over a year. We stood there talking for a few minutes, but knew that we had so much more to catch up on. Adam invited me to Old Chicago, which we now dub a 'date-ish.' We have been inseparable ever since that night.
The Proposal: Adam proposed on April 20, 2011. Upon walking out to the car after work there was a portable DVD player and DVD that said “play me” sitting on the driver side seat. It turns out that the DVD was a video that Adam had made with pictures and memories of us. At the end of the DVD it said to meet at the place where we first met. Upon arriving at UNO, Adam was standing in front of Arts and Sciences Hall with a ring.
The Details: We are excited to share this special day with our family and friends. The ceremony will be held on Friday, September 7th at 6:00 pm. The reception will follow soon after.
